For Your Stay at The Captain's Quarters

Booking & Payment

• A $350 deposit is required to reserve your dates. By paying the deposit you acknowledge and agree to all Terms and Conditions and House Rules.
• This deposit is applied toward your total balance and is not an additional fee.
• The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to check-in.
• If your check-in date is within 8 days of the booking date, full payment is due at the time of booking.
• All payments are processed securely through this booking platform via Stripe.
• Booking is not confirmed until deposit is received.

Cancellation Policy

• Full refund (minus payment processing/platform fees) for cancellations made 30+ days before check-in.
• No refund if cancellation is made less than 30 days before check-in, unless we're able to rebook the dates.
• Cleaning fees are always refunded if you cancel.

Fees & Deposits

• Cleaning Fee: $180 per stay (non-refundable).
• Security Deposit: May be requested depending on length of stay or guest count. You'll be notified in advance.
• Extra Guest Fee: $50 per person, per stay, for each guest beyond 5 total guests.
• All charges are clearly displayed during booking – no surprise fees.

The Basics

• Sleeps up to 16 guests
  (3 bedrooms, 7 beds, plus double and single pull-out couches)
• 2 full bathrooms
• Private home – you've got the place to yourself
• Man Cave/Sports Den with a 75" TV
• Parking for 2 vehicles

Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in: 4:00 PM or later
• Check-out: 11:00 AM sharp
• (Late check-out may be subject to a $50 fee)

House Rules Summary (full rules listed online)

• No smoking indoors
• No pets without prior written authorization
• No parties or events unless arranged with host
• Keep it clean – treat it like your own place
• Maximum occupancy: 16

Guest Expectations

Please leave the space tidy:

• Dishes washed
• Trash bagged
• Furniture returned to original spots
• Excessive mess may incur additional cleaning fees.

Liability, Responsibility & Safety

• Guests assume all risk for personal injury or loss during the stay.
• The property owners and Captain Norm's are not liable for accidents, weather-related issues, or lost/stolen property.
• The person making the booking is fully responsible for any charges that may arise from damages to the property caused by any guest or visitor during the stay.
• The booking guest is also responsible for any charges resulting from the need to perform cleaning in excess of what is typically expected.

Quiet Hours

• 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Be mindful of neighbors and the lakefront peace.

Force Majeure

If a natural disaster, weather event, or other act of God forces a cancellation, we'll do our best to reschedule or refund when possible.
